Wee Society

What do a towering tree, a friendly monster and a sporty little red delivery truck have in common? They're all featured in this week's What Wee Read. Hold onto your hats.

Stuck by Oliver Jeffers

Floyd gets his kite stuck in a tree. So, he throws a shoe at it, which also gets stuck. Then a bunch of other stuff gets stuck, like a friend's bicycle, a kitchen sink, the family cat and a rhinoceros. It's about inventiveness and determination, and it's completely silly and fun.

The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

As a mouse strolls through the woods, he encounters other animals who want to eat him. Oh no! To scare them off, he tells them a tall tale about the Gruffalo. But it turns out, the Gruffalo is real! And while the story sounds a bit scary, our two-year-olds love it—especially once we got the Gruffalo's voice down.

Rapido's Next Stop by Joelle Jolivet and Jean-Luc Fromental

Can you find Rapido? Our kids love to finish the rhymes and find Rapido in this awesomely illustrated lift-the-flap book. You get to explore the city along the way, sparking lots of questions and conversations. Go, go Rapido!
